The “Recent developments in the global politics and economy after the National People’s Congress and Chinese People’s Political Consultative Congress” Roundtable Forum was successfully held on April 25, 2019. Mr. Stanley Au Chong-kit highlighted that China was subjected to severe tests in recently. The very intricate political signal triggered by the Two Sessions has imposed instabilities and unfavourable factors on the external economy. This Roundtable Forum was honored to have international relations scholar Dr. Simon Shen, Prof FENG Xiaoyun of Jinan University, Guangdong, news commentator Mr LAU Yui-siu to explain the situation for Hong Kong and Macau. Mr. Ron LAM U Tou, the president of the Association of Synergy of Macao, officiated at the Roundtable Forum session.
